Privacy Policy

The short version: Khatam doesn't collect anything. Your reading lives on your devices and, if you choose, syncs through your own private iCloud. We never see it.

Last updated 13 June 2026

App Store privacy label: “Data Not Collected.” Khatam has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and makes no network calls beyond your own iCloud sync. This page explains exactly what that means.

What Khatam stores

Everything you create in Khatam — your khatam goals, reading logs, streaks, reminders, and settings — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData. It belongs to you.

iCloud sync

If you're signed in to iCloud, Khatam syncs your data across your own Apple devices using your private CloudKit database. This data is tied to your Apple Account, encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, and is not accessible to us. Khatam has no servers and no copy of your data.

If iCloud is turned off or unavailable, Khatam works fully on-device. You'll see a quiet “iCloud off — local only” note in Settings; nothing breaks.

What we don't collect

We do not collect, see, sell, or share any of the following:

Analytics & crash reporting

Khatam contains no analytics SDKs and no third-party crash reporting. We don't measure how you use the app, because we don't want to and don't need to. If you choose to share a crash report with Apple through iOS, that report goes to Apple under Apple's privacy terms, not to us, and contains no Khatam content.

Payments

Khatam is a one-time purchase on the App Store, with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We never receive or store your payment information.

Children

Khatam is suitable for all ages and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children.

Your control over your data

Security

Your data is protected by your device's own security — passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS file protection — and, for synced data, by Apple's iCloud encryption. We encourage you to keep your device and Apple Account secured.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app where appropriate.
